Magnet Schools and Career Academies

  1. What is the difference between a Magnet and a Career Academy?  The Magnet school is one that specializes in particular subjects, in addition to providing a general education.  A Career Academy is a small learning community built around a career theme.  All schools will continue to offer the high academic standards that Kanawha County Schools has been known for.  For more information contact your school counselor or George Aulenbacher at [email protected].
