Kanawha County Schools is currently hiring substitute and regular bus drivers. Daily rates start at $128.72 and we offer training! Learn how to drive a bus and prepare to obtain your CDL. (We reimburse for CDL costs once employed for three months).

Potential drivers must be at least 21 years of age, possess a valid West Virginia state driver's license with a good driving record, and be willing to attend training, obtain and continue to possess all certificates, licenses, endorsements, and permits as required by law.

Substitute bus drivers receive the following:

$128.72 per day

Regular bus drivers receive the following:

$128.72 per day with yearly increments for years of service based on 133 days of service
Medical/dental and vision benefits
Contributions to state retirement system
