
Look out world, here they come! Two robotics teams from Kanawha County Schools just punched their ticket to the 2025 World Championship! The two teams making the trip are:
The Coding Corgis from Chamberlin Elementary School

The Bot Squad from Cedar Grove Elementary School

The Coding Corgis
The Coding Corgis took home the top spot in the Design Award in this year's state competition. The Design Award recognizes a team's professional approach to the engineering design process. In this category, teams are judged on:
- Project Management
- Time Management
- Team Organization
To be chosen for first place in this category, the Coding Corgi's demonstrated to the judges their ability to work together as a team using strong communication skills, demonstrated a high level of understanding of how their robot operates, and have an effective game strategy.

The Bot Squad
The Bot Squad won the Excellence Award at the state competition. This award is given to the team that demonstrates excellence in both the judged award and performance award categories. The Excellence Award incorporates all of the criteria from the Design Award, plus the added component of a team's on-field performance.
