P-EBT Cards

P-EBT Card Information

The P-EBT card program from Spring 2020 is being implemented again this month. This program is run by the WV DHHR and WVDE, not Kanawha County Schools.

We recommend that you view the WVDE website regarding P-EBT cards at: https://wvde.us/wv-pebt.

KCS students should expect to receive their cards by the end of this month. Families should have already received an explanation letter from DHHR. Kanawha County Schools does not have this information and will not be able to provide it to you or send you a new letter.

If you have lost, misplaced, or never received that letter please listen carefully to the following information:

a.   You may call the P-EBT hotline at 304-756-5431 and a representative will assist you. Please be advised, they will only be able to speak to the guardian on file – and guardians will have to complete a verification process over the telephone before student specific information is released. 

b.  You may email the P-EBT inbox at WVPEBT@k12.wv.us and request assistance or seek information.

c.   Please be advised there is a high volume of calls and email requests to assist families with activation issues. You may experience a wait time or delay but someone will assist you as quickly as possible.

Again, cards will be mailed by the end of this month. You should only have a letter from DHHR at this point. Please access wvde.us/wv-pebt for more information. Thank you.
