West Side Middle

West Side Middle School students are "Hooked on Education" through their Fishing Club! Students are enjoying the great outdoors, having lakeside cookouts, and trying their luck at fishing.

Through the Fishing Club, students are becoming environmental advocates, learning about local ecosystems, and fostering a love for the outdoors. It also provides an opportunity to discuss grades, conduct, and courtesy, resulting in mutual respect both inside and outside the classroom.

Thanks to donations from local businesses, the school can provide equipment for over 60 students. In total, the club boasts over 80 members, and they extend an invitation to parents and families to join their outdoor adventures.

The students are experiencing many firsts – from catching their first fish to spotting wildlife and learning about the region's unique plants on hikes. It's a fun and educational club for everyone involved!
