Transition to Adult

It's My Move - It's My Move is aligned with sound, cutting-edge research principles that encourage the development of youth assets and resiliency. The program empowers youth to manage their own life and feel in control of their own destiny. This gradual, intensive approach to transition ensures that youth are able to continue to make responsible decisions that lead to personal success. While primarily designed for aged-out foster students, free resources are available under the "Training/Resources" tab - click on the Life Skills Training/Support Material for Daily Living skills such as house keeping, handling money, healthy eating, talking about sex and STIs, and finding appropriate living accommodations.

Universal Design for Learning

National Center for UDL - Managing information and resources can be a daunting task for anyone, but for those with executive function disorders such as ADD or Spectrum Disorders, it can be especially frustrating. The resources at this site are curated to those which can help lower boundaries to learning.

TarHeel Reader - free site with thousands of books ready for download with each having text-to-speech available, also can customize for switch use for greater independence. This site also allows you to create your own books and publish them!

This site can intelligently simplify difficult English, for faster comprehension, effectively teach words, for building a better vocabulary, help teachers save time and produce engaging lessons, and help improve learning outcomes.
