Cedar Grove Elementary Student Council
Cedar Grove Elementary kicked off the new school year with an expanded student council. A total of thirty students from the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade where selected to join student council based on their good grades and behavior.
Students were encouraged to be good role models for their peers. They also began planning some of their long-term projects like a Veteran's Day celebration, a fundraiser, a cleanup activity, and a holiday activity.
The student council also participated in a fun team building activity. Each team was given notecards, tape, and scissors and had to work together to build the tallest and strongest tower possible. Teams quickly learned the importance of working together (with some engineering skills mixed in).
