8th grade resource class reads "The Tell-Tale Heart"

The 8th grade resource class at Elkview Middle School took a hands-on approach to learn about "The Tell-Tale Heart" by Edgar Allen Poe. Teacher Nicole Cline created a mock crime scene based on the story. Students first had to create a hypothesis about what happened based on the crime scene. After reading the story, they then compared their hypothesis to what actually happened, and even tried to decide if the main character should be classified as criminally insane!

WV Treasury "Get A Life Program"

The 8th grade students at Elkview Middle School participated in the West Virginia Treasury "Get A Life Program". Students learned about managing personal finances through fun and interactive budget situations. Thanks to all the staff and volunteers who made this event possible.
