SEL Coordinators

Several schools have hired Social Emotional Learning (SEL) coordinators through federal pandemic funds. These positions are intended to help students with the social and emotional issues they are facing due to the pandemic and other life circumstances.

Flinn Elementary is utilizing their SEL coordinator to teach students about a different life skill each month. In September, they have been focusing on “Making Connections”. Watch the video to learn more about the SEL program at Flinn, and hear from three 3rd grade students about how this program is helping in their daily lives.
