KCS Students Place in 2020 Almost Heaven Governor’s Art Exhibition

Congratulations to several KCS students who placed in the statewide 2020 Almost Heaven Governor’s Art Exhibition. The following KCS students were recognized at the Capitol today:

BEST OF SHOW
Aaron Goad – Grade 8, South Charleston Middle School, Kanawha County, Title of entry: The Capitol. Aaron Goad's artwork will be used on postcards sent by the WV Tourism Office to invite folks to visit West Virginia. His art was made using the Colorscape app.

Middle School
1st Place: Aaron Goad – Grade 8, South Charleston Middle School, Kanawha County, Title of entry: The Capitol
2nd Place: Maisey Duckworth – Grade 6, Andrew Jackson Middle School, Kanawha County, Title of entry: Blenko on Nana’s Window Seat

High School
1st Place: McKinzie Surface – Grade 10, South Charleston High School, Kanawha County, Title of entry: Almost Heaven
2nd Place: Aillea Elkins – Grade 10, George Washington High School, Kanawha County, Title of entry: Wild and Colorful WV
