Wisdom from the Village

On February 3, 2015 Stonewall Jackson Middle School students participated in a panel discussion held by the Kanawha County’s Family Court’s Bench/Bar Committee. The students and professionals exchanged thoughts and ideas regarding current community issues including social media, apathy, sexual violence, and peer pressure. Students shared their perceptions of these teen issues and ways they believed education could be improved. A host of prominent West Virginia African-Americans from various professions were in attendance and honored for their dedication to education.
