Pinch Elementary can now say that their teachers are Apple Certified -- ALL of their teaching staff. Congratulations on this accomplishment!

In addition, Pinch Elementary is the fourth KCS school to be recognized by national nonprofit Common Sense as a ‘Common Sense Certified School: Digital Citizenship’ for the 2016-2017 school year. The school demonstrated its commitment to taking a whole-community approach to preparing its students to use digital media to explore, create, connect, and learn, while limiting the dangers that exist online, such as plagiarism, loss of privacy, and cyberbullying.

Pinch Elementary has been using Common Sense Education's research-based digital citizenship resources, which teach students, educators, and parents skills related to Internet safety, protecting online reputations and personal privacy, managing online relationships, and respecting creative copyright. The free resources are currently used in more than 90,000 classrooms nationwide.

Pinch Elementary joins Lakewood, Kenna and Richmond Elementary Schools, who’ve also received this national certification for the 2016-2017 school year. Sissonville Middle School, Holz Elementary and Edgewood Elementary all received this certification during the 2015-2016 school year.
